Aleksey grew up in the great state of Ohio where he completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Kent State University. He then graduated from Ohio University with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2018. During his time in graduate school he worked in a running gait mechanics research laboratory, investigating how physical therapy interventions, footwear and other variables affect running gait.
Aleksey Lavrinenko

During his orthopedic residency training Aleksey helped start a clinic in Eugene Oregon that contracted with the University of Oregon Track and Field team and Nike professional runners as well as serving the rest of the active community of Eugene. In 2021 he completed his North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAOIMT) training to become a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist. The following year he also completed further training to become a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist.
His passion for cycling, running, and CrossFit has given him the perspective of helping many of his active clients with injury rehabilitation as well a training to help them meet their goals and stay active. Over the years he has not only trained in CrossFit but also coached at one of the top CrossFit gyms of the Aspen Valley in Colorado.
He now lives in Bend, Oregon with his wife Michaela and their Siberian Husky Kira. During his free time he loves to mountain bike, snowboard, CrossFit, and explore the backcountry of Oregon.

Kate Holmer
Kate was born and raised in Iowa and while she has been an athlete all her life, she chose a different direction after tearing her ACL in high school. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in music from the University of Northern Iowa in 2007, studying classical French horn and bass with an emphasis in jazz. After taking several years away from school, Kate completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University, graduating in 2017.

While completing her doctorate, Kate focused on orthopedics and sports without considering pelvic health in her career goals. Once she began her career, she quickly reassessed her interest in pelvic health and has now trained extensively in pelvic floor physical therapy, specializing in athletes and pregnant/postpartum individuals.
Kate has lived in Oregon since 2007 and developed interests in many new activities since leaving the midwest. She is an avid climber and mountain biker, plays in the local ice hockey league, and enjoys lifting regularly, although these days, life looks a little different with a toddler.
Ellie grew up in Sun Valley, Idaho and completed her bachelor degree at Indiana University. She was a D1 swimmer at Indiana University (1997-2001).
She went to PT school achieving a master and a doctorate from Nova Southeastern University (2008). Ellie has extensive higher education in several types of manual therapy: OMM (osteopathic manual manipulation), NAIOMT (North American Institute of Manual Therapy), and IPA (Institute of Physical Art). She has worked with a wide range of athletes from middle school to pro-athlete/Olympians.

Ellie has lived in Bend since 2015 and has a son Crosby and husband Jeff who is a pediatrician at Central Oregon Pediatric Associates (COPA). Ellie and the owners of Capacity go way back to Portland, Oregon days in 2012.
Ellie is a master clinician who specializes in treating runners, endurance athletes, female athletes, and olympic athletes. She excels at blending manual therapy with strength and conditioning. Ellie is certified to treat pelvic health clients and is a run coach. Capacity is lucky to have her on the team.

Lindsey Hagen
Lindsey grew up in Santa Cruz, California and played Division 1 collegiate soccer prior to attending UC San Francisco and San Francisco State University graduate school. She graduated with her Masters in 2008 and Doctorate in 2009. Lindsey has been practicing in Bend for over 6 year. She specializes in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. She has done more advanced training on evaluation and treatment of the running athlete. She has developed Fit-to-Run programs and is an RRCA certified coach. Lindsey has coach and trained runners of all skill levels.

She has done training with the Institute of Physical Art manual therapy, and is also Kinesiotape and Graston certified.
When not working she enjoys running marathons and ultra-marathons, snowboarding and spending time with her amazing kids!

A licensed physical therapist since 2009, Nick is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and certified sports clinical specialist. He is a faculty member of the Institute of Physical Art. Nick completed his undergraduate training at The University of Colorado in Boulder and physical therapy school at the University of California San Francisco. After PT school, Nick completed a sports physical therapy residency in Vail, CO at the Howard Head Sports Medicine Center.

Following residency training, he completed a traveling sports fellowship learning sports medicine with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). In 2016, Nick completed a certification through IPA physical therapy to be a certified functional manual therapist. Nick is a board director of the Oregon National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has spoken at local and national level conferences. Nick is a journal editor for the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine and The International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy. He has been published in the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy, Australian Journal of Strength and Conditioning, and through the APTA. He has provide care for NBA, NFL, MLB, and US Ski Team Athletes.
Through Nick’s experiences he started to recognize a gap in health and wellness. The model was dictated by insurance providers not for what is best for the client. Nick started Capacity to create a multi-tiered service to help people. His goal was build a company which can help clients get out of pain, help clients improve their athletic performance, as well as educate others on how to care for clients. Capacity’s goal is to help as many people as possible.
